700+ people + amazing food + a petting zoo and pony rides + games = an amazing afternoon.  Glad Tidings Church knows how to through a party.  Every year, with the hardwork of countless volunteers,  Glad Tidings Church throws open its doors, invites the community in and has a party.  Actually it would be misleading to say they only do it once a year.  In addition to their block-party style events, Glad Tidings invites the community to join them weekly for 5-star food and fellowship on Wednesday evenings.  Nourishment for the pallet and the soul go hand in hand here.  And I am lucky enough to be invited to join and photograph their huge events.  And you know when Memorial Day celebrations are planned by a former Special-Forces-member-turned-chef-and-event planner that the afternoon is going to be epic.  A Remembrance Wall. A Rifle Toss demonstration by ROTC members.  A half dozen bouncy houses.  A petting zoo with adorable baby farm animals (and pony rides, of course!).  And the food…AMAZING.

Mark your calendars for next year!  You are going to want to be there.  The party get bigger and better every year.
